\section{Binary Assets Holding Directory}

The \texttt{docs/assets/} directory served as a temporary holding area for binary
files that require migration to appropriate long-term storage. Contents at the time
of archival included:

  \item \texttt{book-FIXED.docx} --- Book manuscript; should move to a publication
        directory or external document management.
  \item \texttt{patent.tar.gz} --- Patent materials; should move to secure external
        legal/IP storage.

  \item \texttt{experiments.tar.gz} --- Archived experimental data; should move to
        the experiments archive or Git LFS.
  \item \texttt{files.zip} --- Miscellaneous files requiring review and organisation.

Large binary files should not reside in the git repository long-term. Publication
materials belong in a separate publication repository; legal and IP materials belong
in secure external storage; experimental data belongs in the experiments directory
or an external data store with Git LFS pointers.
